Prostate Embolization

In March 2009 we started the treatment of embolization of BPH, we treated already 566 patients, with an initial improvement in 85-90% of cases.
Under local anesthesia and X Rays control the catheter is placed through the skin in prostatic arteries and small particles of Polyvinyl Alcohol Particles (PVA) 150µm are injected and some of the blood of prostate is decreased. Four hours later the patient can go home and in the following day he can start his normal activity and stop all BPH medication.
